Vegetarian Pilau

Vegetarian Pilau ! 

This vegetarian pilau recipe saves us from the hassle of cooking a Breyani for hours in the kitchen. It’s a quick Breyani fix that can be cooked in less than an hour. To make your fasting days easier, try this delicious buttery vegetarian pilau! 

Ingredients:

3 tbsp @papasspicecafe ghee

1 @papasspicecafe cinnamon stick

1 tbsp @papasspicecafe crushed garlic

1 tbsp @papasspicecafe Vadivoh

1 chopped onion

2 cut fresh chilies

1 green pepper cut

1/2 tray of mushrooms chopped

1 cup frozen peas

1 tsp @papasspicecafe Jeera powder

1 tsp @papasspicecafe Tumeric powder

1 tsp @papasspicecafe Garam masala

250g soya prawns ( prepared in air fryer)

Basmati rice( leftovers)

Pinch of food colouring

2 potatoes( prepared in air fryer)

Method:

1. Add 2 tbsp ghee to a pan with crushed garlic and cinnamon stick.

2. Add vadivoh to flavor the ghee with your chilies and onion.

3. Throw in all your freshly chopped vegetables and allow to fry in the ghee mixture.

4. Spice up your vegetables with Papas spices: Jeera, Tumeric and Garam masala

5. Fry vegetables in spices for 3-5 minutes

6. Add vegetable mix to pre cooked rice with a pinch of food colouring. 

7. Add your potatoes and soya prawns and the last spoon of ghee.

8. Give it all a good mix and pop into the oven for 10-15 minutes.

Serve with Papas Delicious pickles!
